Ok this recipe I was just mucking around putting things in a bowl trying to get a creamy dressing to mix with tuna on my new tortillas or just to use as a mayo (as i do miss my mayo). Ranch dressing is a definate no no on the low fodmap diet but heres one that taste amazing and perfectly suitable for us low fodmappers!! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. While this has cheese, the cheese used is suitable for those on a lactose free diet please asses your own tollerance)
This recipe is great as you can tweak it to your own tastes but heres how I did mine.
Low Fodmap Ranch Dressing
1/2 cup lactose free plain yoghurt (if not lactose intolerant then use greek yoghurt or plain natural yoghurt)
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese (or finely grated tasty cheese)
1 tbl dried dill tips (I use masterfoods brand)
1 tsp fresh finely chopped chives
1/2 tsp garlic infused olive oil (safe on low fodmap diet, do not add an actual garlic clove or powder if on low fodmap diet)
1/4 tsp smoked paprika
salt and pepper to taste
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and serve with a salad or use on your sandwich
Creamy Tuna Salad
For the tuna version add a 130g tin of tuna in springwater, drained. Add a little more yoghurt if needed. Mix ranch dressing with tuna and wrap in a home made tortilla see recipe here https://mycleanplate.wordpress.com/2012/07/08/low-fodmap-tortillas-gluten-free-dairy-free/ or just on its own with salad!
